Description
The Kinks were one of the most influential bands of the British Invasion and Kinda Kinks is their second album released in 1965 by Pye Records (Reprise in the States). Ray Davies and co. knew how to crank out three-minute pop songs and the albums smash hit, Tired Of Waiting For You, shows why their unique sound remained so influential. Nothin In the World Can Stop Me Worryin Bout That Girl was overlooked by many until Wes Andersons film Rushmore popularized the track, as well as the Kinks, to a new generation. The 12 tracks here are stripped down and simple but they retain a sort of modest perfection, making Kinda Kinks an understated but growingly catchy Kinks klassic (reissued here on mono with the original UK track list).
