Originally released in 1963 by Glendora, Californias own The Surfaris, Wipe Out is perhaps the most memorable surf rock tune of all-time. Though it was actually the b-side of the Surfer Joe 45, Wipe Out reached #2 on the national charts and quickly became a worldwide hit and its no surprise that the subsequent LP bore the same name as that hit. Featuring both sides of that legendary 45 along with 10 other shredding pieces of classic West Coast surf-rock, including their take on Misirlou, Wipe Out is one of the most important albums of a quintessentially American genre.
