Signing to Roadrunner Records in November 2018, Baltimores Angel Du t announce their new album and debut for the label Pretty Buff. On signing they debuted two new singles Big Ass Love and Take Away The Pain. The FADER placed Big Ass Love in their roundup of The 20 Best Rock Songs Right Now, praising the track for its Fast-paced acoustic guitar chords, speedy vocals, and sunny melodies. STEREOGUM asserted Angel Du ts ripping hardcore seems to have emerged even more melodic hurling forward with layers of percussion and a chunking acoustic guitar, while REVOLVER named Big Ass Love one of 6 New Songs You Need To Hear Now.
Angel Du t vocalist Justice Tripp commented, We recorded these two hot tracks with the king, William Yip. The songs are very much Angel Du t, while the production is some whole other shit. Feels good to complete our team with a label that fucks with our vision, adding that Big Ass Love is about the healing power of rock.
With three members of their ranks also in one of the hottest bands right now Turnstile, Angel Du t have a great launching pad for 2019. They will head to the UK for Slam Dunk Festival as well as some headline shows in May with further touring set for second half of the year.
Comprised of Justice Tripp (Vocals), Daniel Fang (Drums), Pat McCrory (Guitars/Vocals), Brendan Yates (Guitars/Vocals), and Jeff Caffey (Bass), Angel Du t is a band averse to boundaries. Stacking hooks and harmonies over unorthodox acoustic guitars, beds of hand percussion, and the occasional saxophone, Angel Du t are leaders for the shifting zeitgeist into punk circles. That is their rebellion.
The sound of a crossoverIts loud, its fast and it kicks ass. PITCHFORK
