Description

First live album from Tangerine Dream, released in 1975. Majority was recorded at Fairfield Halls in Croydon, London.
Thought to be the album most fans hold onto, when the band were at the top of their game. I will stick my neck out and say its their best album, certainly my favourite and the album I never tire of.

The live RICOCHET (sporting one of Monique Froeses more enigmatic and abstract covers) remains a high water mark amongst Tangerine Dreams vast in-concert recordings. During their notorious mid-70s live performances, they were for a time considered to be the loudest band everits not hard to imagine the effect on the inner ear canals of this albums bubbling sequencers played at jet-plane volume. This is still classic electronic music. RICOCHET is divided into two parts, which consist of the three band members pitching their towering banks of synths, sequencers, and drum machines (not to mention some galactically charged guitar) high into the winter night. Edgar Froese conducts himself mightily, erecting great black voids of synthesized matter through which swirling sequencer motifs and beat patterns eke out vast, interstellar heavenly bodies. Put this on the hi-fi, and let the Dream bounce you off the walls.
