‘Satyricon & Munch’ showcases two of Norway’s most renowned artists, Edvard Munch and Satyricon, united in a groundbreaking work of art that blurs the boundaries between high culture and black metal. The 56-minute instrumental work, created by Satyricon mastermind Satyr, is conceived as a musical work that transcends any stylistic boundaries and transcends any genre conventions.

Although the piece was written for the Satyricon & Munch art exhibition, it clearly has the emotional depth to resonate in any setting outside the exhibition space. The new, unique, and critically acclaimed art exhibition was on display at the Munch Museum in Oslo until 28th August 2022.
