Description
Formed in 1968, Nazareth rose from the pubs and clubs of their native Scotland to become one of the most successful rock bands in the world, notching up a string of hit records along the way. Hard-working, honest, sincere, and unaffected by the vagaries of fashion, this band of the people have influenced many great artists. Half a century later, and having sold in excess of 20 million albums around the globe, the legendary Nazareth are still rocking hard!
Reissue on orange vinyl. Nazareths 4th studio album, originally released 1977.
2010 remastered audio.
This landmark Nazareth album shows the tougher side of these Scottish hard rockers. When released in 1974, Loud N Proud turned heads of rock fans worldwide. Their preceding album Razamanaz already launched Nazareth into the hard rock stratosphere over night. Therefore, expectations for a successor were high. After recording eight songs with producer Roger Glover, the band decided to christen the album the way it sounds: this record is loud and the band is friggin proud of it! Heavy on drums and distorted guitars, the band pushes its way through the 48 minutes like a steam train running wild, with the exception of a breezy excursion like Child In The Sun and a doomy but incredibly intense version of Bob Dylans The Ballad Of Hollis Brown. Listen to the opening track Go Down Fighting, and you know what to expect.
