Description
Icelandic 4 piece Vök release their debut album Figure on April 28th. The album follows on from their critically acclaimed EPs Tension (2013), and Circles (2015), and was recorded with producer and Jack Garrett collaborator Brett Cox.
The bands influences include The XX, Massive Attack and Imagine Dragons, but all with their own dark and emotive spin. They have built up an impressive fanbase both online (Facebook 30k+ followers) and via live touring they have played sold out shows in Germany and Poland, and sold out The Lexington in London with no marketing or promotion. Their 2 appearances at last years Icelandic Airwaves festival were both road blocks with queues stretching down the street and many people unable to get in.
They have had previous tastemaker support from: Noisey, The Line Of Best Fit, Stereogum, The 405, Consequence of Sound and The New York Times. Show Me is the first single under Nettwerk and the lead single leading into the album release.
