Spurred on by the folk revival of the 1960s blues legends Lonnie Johnson and Victoria Spivey were reunited in 1962 some 30+ years after they first recorded together on the Okeh label for this fine collection, Idle Hours. Two of the more innovative and influential blues and jazz artists of the early 20th century, Johnson and Spiveys chemistry is palpable here on 12 original compositions. Reissued on LP by Mr. Suit.
