After years of shifting forms, Constant Smiles debut Moonflowers marks a clear arrival. Founded in 2009 by Ben Jones, the band moved through noise, chamber pop, and coldwave-inspired synths before solidifying in late 2022 with drummer/vocalist Nora Knight and bassist Spike Currier. This stable core brought structure and clarity to Jones restless ideas, resulting in songs that are direct yet weightless. Evoking the atmosphere of Talk Talk, Nick Drake, and Adrianne Lenker, Moonflowers grows and recedes with natural grace, capturing feelings in the instant they occur.
