Keiran Hebden a.k.a. Four Tet has taken a rather unconventional approach to releasing his new album. Taking a lead from the likes of My Bloody Valentine, who circumnavigated the usual record business system with a surprise self released come back album earlier in the year, Hebdens new LP is on his own label. Upon finishing the album in the summer he said thered be no pre order, no youtube trailers, no itunes stream, no spotify, no amazon deal, no charts, no bit coin deal, no last minute rick rubin.
Even more bizarrely however, theres been no actual release date for the LP, which has started magically appearing in independent record shops in small numbers! Were hoping to get hold of stock in the next week or so, but would advise customers to get their pre-orders in asap who knows how many copies hell make available at this point! Price to be advised when available.
