Description
Demuja and Peach Discs drop a tasty EP of house and techno frivolities wrapped in a hedonistic party spirit.
The “” EP embodies a pure distillation of Demuja’s sound, rooted in classic house techniques with a dubbed-out sensibility. The record’s five tracks all stem from live-jams bashed out with focused intention in his Austrian studio on a plethora of drum machines, synths and effects units.
“Stop Asking Me” gets things underway with snappy drum patterns; layered & syncopated synth interplay and a fizzy b-line. “Olhead” then adopts a more techno-orientated approach with rolling digital congas, reversed synths and wubbing bass. Very nice.
Closing off side A, “Say No More” pulses with late night energy; a sleek tech-house groove littered with percussion that slowly rises and falls in line with the body’s nocturnal instincts.
“Pulse” on side B is an airy tech-house number, with cerebral sfx and wavy pads; while “Tool 6″ possesses more of that techno-spirit with humming sine tones, rampant congas and dubby stabs. Excellent stuff here from Demuja who’s packed a fuck ton of punch into this tasty 12”. Don’t sleep!
STAFF COMMENTS
Matt says: Rrreal tasty house and techno here that’ll appeal to fans of Eden Burns (and Public Possession), Acid Mondays, Delano Smith and 2010-era tech.
