Description
Weezer (aka The Blue Album) is the eponymous debut album by the American rockers, originally released by DGC Records. The album was produced by former Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and recorded in Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The singles from the Blue Album were responsible for launching Weezer into mainstream success Undone The Sweater Song, Buddy Holly, and Say It Aint So the aid of music videos directed by Spike Jonze. In the years since its release, The Blue Album has risen in stature to become one of the most highly regarded albums of the 1990s, appearing on many best of lists. In 2002 the readers of Rolling Stone ranked it as #21 of the greatest albums of all time.
