Authentic R Rabbit Padlock
The iconic R on the padlock comes from the original Rabbit Padlock Company. Legend has it that Chrissie Hynde gifted one of these to Sid Vicious — and whether he lost the keys or wore it night and day, it became a permanent fixture and a symbol of punk rebellion.
This is not a lightweight replica. Each padlock is supplied with a strong forged metal chain, two working keys and authentic packaging — a full-size functioning lock designed for both style and substance. The lock measures 25mm by 23mm.
The R Rabbit Padlock has long been tied to punk’s mythology. Born John Simon Ritchie, later John Beverley and finally Sid Vicious, he joined the Sex Pistols in 1977 after Glen Matlock’s departure. While his musical contribution is debated, his persona and presence pushed the Pistols into infamy — and the padlock remains one of punk’s most enduring icons.
