Description
Les Chants Magnetiques was Jean Michel Jarres third studio album on Dreyfus Music, following on from the phenomenal success of Oxygene and Equinoxe.
One of the first albums to use sampling as a musical element, 1981s Magnetic Fields showcased a colder, more digital and at times also more rhythmically strong sound than Jarres previous works. Partially inspired by Andy Warhol, Magnetic Fields is a tribute to the machines that power Jarres compositions.
