The Songs of Bacharach & Costello, compiled by Elvis Costello, brings together all of the published songs that Costello has written with Burt Bacharach and celebrates the three decade songwriting partnership between them. This vinyl 2LP version includes the newly remastered album, Painted From Memory and six songs from Taken From Life, of which three are newly recorded compositions. The audio was remastered by Bob Ludwig from the original tapes.

The 4CD + 2LP box includes 45 songs: 19 previously unreleased recordings and 3 newly recorded Bacharach & Costello songs. Audio is remastered by Bob Ludwig. The box includes the Painted From Memory album, Taken From Life the stage score of Painted From Memory and numerous live recordings all explained by Costello in an 11,000 word essay. The 2CD set features the full Painted From Memory album on CD1. CD2 features Taken From Life the stage score of Painted From Memory, including 3 newly recorded Bacharach & Costellosongs.
