Description
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is acid rockers Iron Butterflys second studio album, released in 1968, and its been the first album to be awarded platinum status, when the RIAA established that achievement level in 1976; since then it has been certified 4x platinum in the USA and has a total of worldwide sales that goes beyond 30 million copies.
The title track, that occupies the side two entirely, is according to many the most notorious song of the acid rock era, defined as the epitome of heavy psychedelic excess.
