Tchaikovsky has also featured prominently in Lang Langs career most notably in his international breakthrough at age 17 performing Tchaikovskys first piano concerto at Ravinias Gala of the Century.

The album also features the rarer Tchaikovsky Seasons, 12 works commissioned by a Russian music magazine in 1875.
