21 year old Icelandic singer songwriter Asgeirs Icelandic album Dýrð í dauðaþögn is the most successful commercial debut release ever in Iceland. It has now gone triple platinum, outselling the debuts of The SugarCubes, Sigur Ros, Bjork and Emiliana Torrini.
Ásgeir has recently supported John Grant and Of Monsters And Men in the UK and Europe.
He has won four Iceland Music Awards and was nominated for the prestigious Nordic Music Prize.
Icelandic lyrics were written by Ásgeirs 72 year old father. The lyrics were translated from Icelandic to English by John Grant.
