“The band just does everything right,” wrote the Hamburger Abendblatt about the Jazz-Techno Big Band. The JRBB brings together partygoers, concert audiences, clubs, festivals, philharmonics, and more. For the new Christmas album of this programmatically versatile band, laptops, synthesizers, and effects are set aside in favor of a classic swinging big band sound. However, the Jazzrausch Bigband wouldn’t be itself if it didn’t convey the sense that around Christmas, cookies get burned, trees tilt, and the desire for perfect happiness always carries the potential for complete madness. Even though, in the end, everyone still loves each other.
