Joe Armon-Jones returns with Ceasefire, the second in a series of dub releases on his own Aquarii label, following the release of Wrong Side of Town, featuring Hak Baker, earlier this year. This time Joe teams up with legendary reggae deejay Ranking Joe, as well as saxophonist and fellow Ezra Collective band member James Mollison. Ceasefire is an uncompromising call for peace at a time of heightened global conflict. Joe Armon-Jones says, We wrote this song back in 2020 motivated by people who make money off the blood of innocent people. Ranking Joe here is calling for a Ceasefire, not just for the Israeli occupiers but for all those around the globe who would kill another human being, as such an act is despicable and never tolerated. As well as Ranking Joe and James Mollison, Ceasefire features Black Midis Morgan Simpson on drums, Nubiyan Twist bassist Luke Wynter, and Mark Mollison, guitarist for Loyle Carner and Celeste.
