Presenting the original score, by Nick Laird-Clowes (former lead singer and principle songwriter for The Dream Academy), to the tragically beautiful film of the same name, directed by Nick Broomfield, of Kurt & Courtney. This soundtrack compliments the bittersweet love story between Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. With their romance beginning on the idyllic Greek island of Hydra in 1960, this soundtrack carries the listener through the journey from their first meeting, to Mariannes passing in July 2016, and Cohens eventual death in November 2016.
The film received high acclaim with many praising its intimate insight into the relationship of Cohen and Ihlen, only made more expressive and emotional by the accompanying soundtrack from Nick Laird-Clowes
