SOPHIEs debut album OIL OF EVERY PEARLS UN-INSIDES is released via Transgressive Records. The album is the next step in SOPHIEs incredible and unorthodox career, following the PRODUCT EP and is a bold artistic statement that establishes SOPHIE as a pioneer of a new pop sound.
Over the last year SOPHIE has unleashed three singles from the album: Its Okay To Cry, Ponyboy and Faceshopping. Her music has been lauded by the media, with The New Yorker calling her music some of the best and most bewildering pop around, and Pitchfork saying the new releases couldnt feel more cathartic. She has been on the covers of Notion and Crack magazines and won the Innovator Award at the AIM Awards in September.
This Summer, SOPHIE performed several sold-out shows around the world, with various dates in Europe including Sonar By Day in Barcelona, Spain, NOS Alive in Lisbon, Portugal and Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium. She also played sold-out shows across Europe in October, including two nights at Fabric in London.
