Peste & Sida are one of the defining acts of Portuguese hardcore punk — confrontational, politically engaged and completely uncompromising. Formed in Lisbon in the 1980s, the band became a cornerstone of the Portuguese underground scene, influencing generations of bands that followed.
Veneno is among their most essential releases — fast, furious and direct, with the raw energy and conviction that made them one of the most important punk acts the country has produced.
