Metalheadz and Quartz present Interloper – a long-gestating snapshot of an artist who has never played by the usual rules. Quartz (Elliot Garvey) began shaping this record in 2018 following an invitation from Goldie, allowing the material to grow slowly rather than chase momentum or visibility. A Welsh producer who avoids self-promotion almost entirely, he has built his reputation on focus, patience and understatement. Interloper reflects that stance. Dark, deliberate and precisely controlled, it leans into slow burn tension rather than showmanship. There is weight here, but never bluster; detail, but no grandstanding. The title hints at his position within the scene – present but peripheral – and the music mirrors that idea: intense without spectacle, deeply personal without melodrama. 5 track EP available on vinyl.
