Description
When Rush was in London to record their sixth album, ‘Hemispheres’, the three Canadians were well prepared, having spent more than a month rehearsing and tweaking instruments. “We had to be perfect,” says vocalist and bassist Geddy Lee. “We had to push ourselves and elevate our playing … this was a very ambitious recording.”
‘Hemispheres’ was an ambitious album, but it marks a pivotal point in Rush’s history. The album perfectly captures where they were at the time with their heads and shows the trio’s ability to construct an expansive conceptual aesthetic brought to life with skillful and inventive musicianship.
