Description
‘Presto’ is Rush’s 13th studio album, recorded at Le Studio in Morin Heights and McClear Place in Toronto. It was co-produced by Rupert Hine, an English musician, songwriter and producer who has worked with Saga, The Fixx, Howard Jones and Bob Geldof.
The lyrical centrepiece of the album is the atmospheric single “The Pass”, in which Neil addresses the isolation of teenagers and the tragic romance of youth suicides.
“We all get lost in the darkness; dreamers learn to orient themselves by the stars.”
“Presto” was Rush’s first release for Atlantic Records. The album, which went gold, reached number 16 in the Billboard charts and marked a more guitar-heavy sound for the band.
2004 remaster CD jewel case version.
