Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On) and Once in a Lifetime became defining moments not just for the band but for the era, capturing a restless energy and a willingness to push rhythm and texture far beyond what rock music typically allowed.
One of the most forward-thinking albums of its decade, and still one of the best.
