Currents is the third studio album by Tame Impala, released in July 2015 via Modular Recordings. Written, recorded and produced entirely by Kevin Parker, the record marked a clear shift from the band’s earlier psych-rock sound toward a more synth-led, groove-driven approach — warmer, more introspective and more pop-oriented than anything Parker had made before.
Let It Happen, The Less I Know the Better, Eventually and New Person, Same Old Mistakes are among the defining tracks of the decade. A cornerstone of modern alternative music.
