Among the greatest interpreters of the Italian blues, Zucchero is one of the leading Italian artists worldwide. He was the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He was the only Italian artist to participate at the 1994 Woodstock Festival, at the Freddie Mercury Tribute in 1991 and at all the Nelson Mandela 46664 events.. His December 2012 concert held at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana is considered as the biggest concert ever held by a foreign singer in Cuba. His music has spread across national borders thanks to numerous collaborations.
